What you’ll be doing: We are looking for a part time Chaplain (about 20 hours/week) to administer and ensure pastoral care to residents, their loved ones, and as appropriate, to staff by being creative and sensitive to the emotional, spiritual, and sound aspects of their lives. This includes: Facilities activities that meet the religious and spiritual needs of the residents at Meadows of Napa Valley including IL/AL/MC and SNF Ensure that all requests for pastoral care are fielded. If the Chaplain cannot meet the individual need, referral to appropriate resources. Provide advisement on spiritual component of the residents lives/needs in interdisciplinary context. Coordinate as needed clergy, pastoral visitors, and volunteers from the religious community. Be available to new residents and explain the scope of pastoral services and help in problems of adjustment. Encourage residents to participate in community programs and to continue to support and be an active participant in resident activities. About you: You'll have at least five years of experience in the parish ministry, preferably with experience with older persons and their special needs. You'll need to be comfortable and experienced in working with dying persons, praying with individuals and groups. The Chaplain should be willing to accept a broad diversity of religious and social economic backgrounds and feel comfortable working with people of no faith. Apply and come be part of our community !
