**Job Description:**
**JOB SUMMARY**
The Chaplain Associate ministers to patients, families and staff by providing appropriate spiritual services such as listening, pastoral counseling, ethical consultation and prayer regardless of the individual’s personal faith tradition. The individual participates in educational programs and organizational committees related to the Chaplains area of ministry and acts as a resource for physicians, staff, volunteers and the larger faith community. The Chaplain Associate helps promote and maintain an atmosphere of quality patient‐centered care by providing a personal presence, pastoral ministry and in‐service education.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
**EDUCATION**
_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._
**Minimum Required:** A Bachelor’s degree in a theological, ministerial or related field. Must have at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. Endorsement by Professional Chaplain Organization and/or Denominational Representative.

**EXPERIENCE**
**Minimum Required:** Successful completion of clinicals as required by one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.
