The First Year Chaplain Resident functions as a team member of the Spiritual Care Department and establishes collaborative relationships with the interdisciplinary care team, other professionals and the community. The estimated start date is August 11, 2025.
What you will do
Responsible for responding to the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff of all faith traditions throughout the organizationProvides interfaith spiritual care through visitation, crisis intervention, prayers, sacraments as needed and appropriate, bereavement and end-of-life support, life-reviews, spiritual care consultation around existential questions, spiritual and religious rituals, worship services and staff supportMust understand we exist for the patients and their care is the number one priorityCommunicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family membersResponsible for participating in the professional training program such as the action-reflection-new action process, written requirements and group participation to complete the educational requirements for chaplaincy certificationMinimum Qualifications
