The primary purpose of the Chaplaincy Education Coordinator is to assist with planning, organizing, and implementing Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs according to the standards of the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE), Spiritual Care Association (SCA) or other nationally certified program. This role involves developing and implementing curriculum, evaluating students’ clinical work, and providing educational opportunities. The Coordinator manages projects for Chaplaincy initiatives, including project research, development, and annual reports, and collaborates with Leadership and other departments for the overall training program at The Chaplaincy.

Qualifications

This job requires a Master’s Degree in Divinity or a related field, with at least one year of chaplaincy education experience. A Board Certified Chaplain in good standing with a recognized certifying body (e.g., APC, SCA) is required, along with certification as an ACPE
educator or equivalent. Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel are necessary. Experience working with diverse groups is important. A current official endorsement for chaplaincy by a recognized religious
group preferred. Must be an effective communicator with diverse groups of people (i.e., people with disabilities, families, professionals, community leaders, government officials and others). Knowledge of Word, Access, and Excel computer programs is required. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements on a year for year basis.
