Job Description

Tape is the foundational volume storage technology that is leading growth in cold storage. Join a team where you can make an immediate impact on the robust tape technology roadmap. Hands-on, active contributors will find a responsive environment where innovation is encouraged, and team members are supportive. The candidate will be responsible for characterization for tape head products, supporting them from concept through their manufacturing life cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Lead OEM Product Development Team meetingsAnalyze Wafer and Backend process data and trendsProvide data-based inputs to inform decisions of reader/writer designersSupport and optimize product specs for yield and performanceMeets goals with little direction and supervisionSubject matter expert in area of responsibility or has extensive knowledge of several technical areasApplies technical expertise to complete complex tasksLead individual contributor for key technical projects and programsInternational travel will be required (5%)

Qualifications

Required:

BS with 5+ yrs experience, MS with 3+ yrs experience, PhD with 1+ yrs experience, Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Data Sciences, or a related field with experience in product characterization or process engineeringDemonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in R, JMP, Minitab, SAS, Python or similar Experience with magnetic read/write head data analysis is a significant plus
