We are proud of our 18,000+ successful placements with quality-oriented organizations that recognize the value of better talent. **Compensation and Schedule for the Charge Auditor** Charge Auditor – Full-time, work-from-home, $25-$35 per hour, Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm within Arizona time zone. Join a positive team! **Required Qualifications of the Charge Auditor** - 3+ years of recent inpatient auditing experience required - AAMAS and CMS guidelines knowledge required - High school diploma or GED required - Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen **Job Summary for the Charge Auditor** Perform charge audits to validate accurate revenue capture and to ensure services were medically supported and properly documented. Work closely with various departments to educate staff, and to provide payment integrity and reduce denials. Communicate all audit findings with the necessary parties. **Responsibilities of the Charge Auditor** - Perform reviews for charge integrity to include audits of the following: medical record documentation (EMR) to support clinical and financial outcomes, revenue cycle processes, coding validation related to CDM issues (CPT/HCPCS code applications), compliance coding, appropriate billing, operational workflows, and other processes which affect appropriate charge integrity - May assist with additional audits, including RAC, Payer Defense Requests, Patient Complaint, OIG, and C-suite requested audits - Complete medical record reviews for charge integrity in a timely manner - Work with third party auditors to identify and support documentation as requested for medications, implants, treatments, supplies and equipment - Identify gaps in charge capture and work collaboratively with the department to reduce future charge loss, providing training and education when appropriate - Review medical record for quality, medical necessity, coding clarification, and risk management as requested - Through reviews and/or interaction with clinical areas, identify charge capture opportunities and work with clinical areas to implement processes to accurately capture charges - Interact with internal/external audit teams to review charging practices - Analyze internal/external trends to determine educational, system, and/or process gaps - Work with Audit and Education Specialists to assist claim audits and understanding on missed charges based on clinical documentation **About the Company** This well-known and successful healthcare system has remained a symbol of quality for over 25 years.
