Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate. Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate. Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current practice standards, rules, regulations and policy. Evaluation and Discharge - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions. Takes responsibility for continued professional growth and development. Chemotherapy Infusion Specific Serves as department leader alongside and in absence of Nurse Manager. Maintains professional working relationship with physicians to facilitate excellent patient care. Serves as a preceptor for new staff. Met criteria for RN II P Qualifications Qualifications IV insertion skills required. Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Must take and pass ONS chemotherapy and biotherapy course for chemo certification within 30 days. Experience Previous experience in acute care setting including IV insertion and infusion required. 1 year previous chemo therapy experience required. Previous charge nurse experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC. Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Complete basic chemotherapy certification within 30 days of hire and maintains through employment. Completes and maintains advanced chemotherapy certification within 3 months of hire. Compensation/Benefits $23.79-$38.86/hr depending on previous work experience.
