Lahey Hospital and Medical Center is now offering up to $1,000 in signing bonuses for our Charge Officer positions.Important Details:
• Signing Bonuses are paid out in three payments. You will receive your first payment (one third of the total amount) upon completion of the first 30 days of employment. You will receive the second payment upon completion of six (6) months and the third payment (final of the total amount) owe upon completion of one year following your start date. The bonus payments will be paid on the next regular pay day following the date on which you become eligible for the bonus. All payments are subject to applicable taxes.
To be eligible:
• Signing Bonus is determined on a full-time status of 40 hours. Hours less than 40 hours will be prorated. Per Diem roles are not eligible.
• Current and former BILH candidates - restrictions apply. Employees within the BILH system are not eligible for the bonus or if you have been employed by a BILH entity within the last 12-months.
• If you leave Lahey Hospital & Medical Center before your first anniversary you will pay back the signing bonus.
• Please note, signing bonuses are subject to change based on the organizations hiring needs and will be determined by Talent Acquisition on an ongoing basis. BILH/LHMC Talent Acquisition reserves the right to change signing bonus eligible jobs and amounts at any time.
Job Description:
Position Summary: In support of supervisory staff, assists with the daily supervision of Security Officers. Coordinates and leads response to emergency conditions. Provides security and protection for patients, visitors, and colleagues, as well as buildings and grounds. May be called upon to provide assistance in many different circumstances, settings and weather.
Lead Responsibilities - In support of Security Supervisory staff, assists with supervising general security staff. Duties include:
Allocation of staff resources Consults with and supports supervisor in counseling staff on routine issues pertaining to performance, attendance, or behaviorWorks closely with Nursing Supervisors on issues related to patient safety and security, escalating patients, all codes, and any other security related events.Assist with the training of new officers and assist with any needed refresher training as well.Minimum Qualifications:
Education:High School Graduate or equivalent
Licensure, Certification, Registration: Current valid driver’s license required.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:Observant, paying close attention to detail; Ability to remain calm in difficult situations; Adaptable to sometimes rapidly changing situations; Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across diverse cultures and at various social and educational levels. Basic computer and data entry skills.
Experience: 3 years of security experience with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role.
Sing on Bonus! The Security Officer, Charge Officer, and Security Supervisor role is now eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus. Important Details: Bonuses are paid out in 3 payments: $333 at 30 days of hire, $333 at 6 months of Hire, and $334 at 1-year of hire, this would be prorated for less than Full-Time. To be eligible, you must be a non-BILH employee or a previous eligible employee who returns to BILH after 1 year. Employee must be in good standing to receive the bonus at the time of payment. Per Diem roles are not eligible. All bonuses are subject to applicable taxes. If you leave Lahey Health & Medical Center before your first anniversary you will pay back the sign-on bonus to Lahey Health & Medical Center. This program is subject to change at any point.
