**About You**
We are looking for a financial professional who loves to utilise their great business partnering skills with a desire to make a difference. The ideal candidate moves effectively between the strategic and operational details and stays focused on the priorities while demonstrating rigour and brilliant execution.
**Function**
The Financial Experience Governance Team is accountable for the delivery of business strategic change programmes, driving value through global standard processes, the use of lean and global ways of working across Diageo in a more consistent and efficient manner. The team supports the Finance Experience Tower and has a special cross-locational set up of functional process SMEs. The Chart of Accounts Compliance team and so this role is embedded within the Financial Experience Governance area focusing on global change management, embedment and compliance measurement of the Diageo Chart of Accounts ( **CoA** ).
Importance of the role is increasing as the Fin Exp Governance team has responsibility to design and implement standard processes, controls and policies for Diageo Finance globally and ensure compliance by Markets. The team is involved in projects, complex issues, significant process and technical integrations as such they play an enabler and gatekeeper role in delivering Diageo’s strategy.
**About the Role**
The primary focus of this role is to manage the BAU tasks (common mailbox, query handling, issue resolution, support the Master data management team, manage new GL requests and changes…etc) and also support the CoA review activities and through that provide the management with transparent GL structure and enable quality reporting.
The purpose of this role is to support the market finance community (including FC Process Board, Group Controller, Regional FDs, FDs, RTR Director) in the correct CoA usage, change management related to the CoA, provide analysis and measurement in this area to drive compliance as an independent subject matter expert. The role will follow the standard processes around GL creation and GL changes with rigorous attitude and manage the CoA related queries raised by the markets (common mailbox management).
The role maintains an external perspective to understand what Top Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies do on CoA compliance measurement. If agenda requires work with external consultants. Works with external vendors re used tools (i.e. e-learning, Glocator) to understand where their roadmaps are going to inform key technology decisions.
Playing a key role in CoA related process standardization and automation agenda, the Chart of Accounts Global Process Analyst initiates changes, supports implementation and change management on global level, where required. Works closely with Data Governance and Bangalore global data maintenance team to drive initiatives further (BaU) and with productivity teams on global critical initiatives.
The role has global reach. It works with a wide range of central functions (Group Reporting, FC Governance process and technical teams, Regional gov leads, SBM project leads, Data Governance) as well as FCs and direct market contacts on technical solutions to support Finance pivotal initiatives. It defines, designs, builds and rolls-out global standard finance standards for the global CoA, definitions, aligned config design, change control process and policy. The role supports resolution process of local gaps to global solutions on standardization and simplification agenda.
**Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages**
+ University or college degree
+ Fluent English, strong communication skills
+ 3-4 years’ work experience in a FMCG / BSS environment
+ Strong analytical skills
+ Solid accounting knowledge. ACCA and IFRS certification or partial certification is an advantage
+ Understanding the financial implication in the context of global process change
+ Experience in reporting activities
+ Flexibility for adopting to change with positive attitude and relevant experience in change management
