Job Summary:
The Chassis Prep will do prep work (Installations/Welding/Fabrication) for the hoist mounting process and install certain components onto Truck Chassis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews the truck chassis with the model of the hoist to be mounted and plans out what steps are necessary to complete the installation. Install some of the electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic components needed prior to the hoist mounting process. Connects hydraulic hose from cylinder to oil tank Inspects work before the truck is moved on in the process Operate a handheld plasma, huck gun, torch, air drill, and chain drill as part of their everyday duties. Operates a forklift to move components as needed. Must be able to read a tape measure. Have mechanical knowledge in truck parts installation. Complete tasks while adhering to production schedules Communicate any issues or quality concerns to department Supervisor Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards Operates all tools and equipment safely. Reports any safety issues immediately to the manager. Performs other duties as assignedEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Proven ability to assemble based on written and verbal guidelines Fabrication experience Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems A minimum of one to six months experience in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in using various measuring instruments Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic mathematical operations Ability to follow instructions under limited supervision Refuse (Waste Truck) experience is preferredCompany benefits:
