**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented Chassis Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Miami Lakes, FL. You will make an impact in the following ways: + Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop + Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools + Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles + Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies + Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products + Maintain own tools **RESPONSIBILITIES** **(Intermediate):** Applies documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools Disassemble, clean and inspect chassis and /or chassis components Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of chassis and chassis components Assists more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of chassis repair plans in the workshop Completes required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens Completes training in line with skill and business requirements Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation Adheres to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products **QUALIFICATIONS** Applies documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools Disassemble, clean and inspect chassis and /or chassis components Performs preventative maintenance based on assessment of chassis and chassis components Assists more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of chassis repair plans in the workshop Completes required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens Completes training in line with skill and business requirements Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation Adheres to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor DOT - This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements.
