Overview We are looking for a Chef to join our team! This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care. This position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Independent/Assisted and Memory Care Senior Living Community. This casual/on-call nutrition services position includes: Casual/on-call hours - picking up shifts as needed At least 3 shift a month with one being a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) At least one holiday per year Weekends and holidays as needed Cash Out Wages Before Payday with our New Benefit of Early Wage Access! Responsibilities Job Description Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards. Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents Set up line service Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use Assists with special events Assists Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff Qualifications Required: Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification (must obtain within for 90 days) Must be 18 years of age or older 0 to 1 year of experience in similar setting Preferred: Vocational/technical training or Associate Degree - Food Service High School Diploma/GED preferred 1 to 3 years of experiencde in similar setting Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications Benefit Overview
