Job Summary As the Chef de Cuisine at ByteDance, you will oversee and direct all aspects of the culinary production under the leadership of the Executive Chef. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to manage the department in the Executive Chef’s absence and maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency according to HACCP guidelines. Additionally, you will be involved in menu development, inventory management, cost control, and staff training and development. Key Responsibilities: + Lead and manage culinary operations efficiently under the guidance of the Executive Chef. + Act as the head of culinary operations during the Executive Chef's absence, ensuring high standards are maintained. + Comply with HACCP guidelines to ensure food production is safe, sanitary, and efficient. + Assist in various aspects of kitchen management including menu development, inventory control, food purchasing, cost management, and staff training. + Oversee personnel management tasks such as hiring, firing, and developing staff, with a focus on fostering a positive team environment. Preferred Qualifications: + A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or a culinary certificate with 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience. + 2-5 years of experience in culinary or kitchen management, with adjustments based on formal education and training. + Proven experience in catering and knowledge of current food and catering trends. + Expertise in quality control, production, sanitation, and presentation. + Experience with batch or high volume cooking is desirable. + Proven track record in managing food production for large-scale catering or banquet operations. + ServSafe Certification is required.
