Job Title: Chemical Engineer

Job Description

Setting up and operating pilot equipment such as evaporators, crystallizers, boilers, and other laboratory apparatus. The role involves operating simple hoses, pumps, heaters, centrifuges, and recording and documenting outputs from the equipment including pressure, temperature, gauge levels, and chemical data. The candidate will perform analytical testing such as titrations, spectroscopy, solids composition, crystal characterization, and microscopy. Additionally, documenting all laboratory results and collaborating with other team members to develop products per customer applications is essential. Maintaining a safe, clean working lab space and following basic laboratory practices is also required.

The position operates in a lab environment, working with approximately 15 others. It is a day shift role, with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00/5:00 p.m. This contract job provides valuable experience in R&D work, learning intricate scientific processes from start to finish. Candidates have the opportunity to understand the sampling, evaporation, crystallization, and extraction processes, and perform analytical and wet chemistry testing on samples to solve R&D solutions. There is potential for contract-to-hire conversion, with pay raises given to high-performing contract employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
