Job Description: Chemical Manufacturing Technician

Operates process equipment and utilities. Uses the Allen-Bradley Control System to control process operations. Performs chemical reactions on a gram to multi-kilogram scale. Solves common synthetic problems. Understands and interprets analytical data. Manages and tracks project progress including monitoring timelines, raw materials, equipment availability, and yields to ensure project success. Prepares production areas for cGMP project initiation or changeover. Produces clear documentation of all results and procedures. Identifies and/or troubleshoots equipment problems. Uses the work order system to request maintenance and/or improvement work. Operates reactor systems within various production units. This includes knowledge of all ancillary equipment such as storage tanks, waste tanks, heating/cooling units, vacuum units, and scrubber systems. Uses the PLC Control System for operation of the unit, recognizing and responding to alarms or emergency situations. Utilizes the inventory system to properly document inventory transfers and usages. MUST HAVE Associates Degree in Chemistry or related field with 2-4 years of experience in an API GMP manufacturing facility, ORBachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field with 0-2 years of experience in an API GMP manufacturing facility OR3-5 years experience with chemical operating in GMP Facility Work Environment

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing facility.

2-2-3 schedule 6 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. They will consider someone if they have the skill set that will only work the day shift rotation as well. Will most likely train on the day shift rotation for 1-3 months but should be comfortable transitioning to 3rd shift.About Actalent
