**Chemical Mixer $20+!!!** **Job Description** We have three openings for Plant Operators on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. This is a direct placement role with a starting pay rate of $20 per hour. The 2nd Shift operates from 2:00pm to 12:30am, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. The 3rd Shift starts Monday evening at 10:00pm and ends Friday morning at 8:30am, consisting of 10.5 hour days with a half-hour unpaid lunch. **Responsibilities** + Meet with the 2nd shift foreman to review daily tasks. + Train in different areas of the plant on various production procedures. + Follow work instructions to mix pigments for paint. + Wear a respirator during mixing operations. + Lift bags weighing 50-60 lbs to load into the blender. + Follow batch tickets with weights and procedures. + Train to operate a paint kettle, pigment reactor, and grinding machine. + Load bulk weigh stations. + Utilize a computer to read SOPs and mixing procedures. + Perform basic math calculations for batch weights. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift 60 lbs. + Ability to wear a respirator. + Experience in chemical mixing, paint mixing, and chemical compounding. + Proficiency in reading standard operating procedures. + At least 2 years of manufacturing experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with chemical mixing and compounding. + Steel toe boots are required. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a work schedule of 4-10 hour shifts with 3-day weekends! The work environment is laid-back with minimal supervision and consists of only 15 employees. The mixing of pigments creates a dusty environment, with the walls and building covered in pink/orange dust. The plant is somewhat temperature controlled but can be hot in the summer and chilly in the winter. Uniforms are provided to protect clothing from dust and paint. Industrial machines like kettles and mixers are not very loud.
