ResponsibilitiesMove product using hose connections from various tanks through the batching process.Read and interpret the batch sheet for regulations, batching, and record keeping.Operate pumps and valves, perform basic laboratory testing, and data recording.Work with and/or around hazardous chemicals (i.e., caustics, acids, ammonia) with personal protection equipment, and on-site training.Learn to pull samples for quality testing.Clean tanks using a CIP system, ensuring no cross-contamination of products, and general cleaning with chemicals and pressure hoses.Load and unload tanker trucks and complete necessary paperwork.Use computer literacy for data entry and equipment operation.Utilize strong math skills for measurement conversions and inventory management.Perform minor preventative maintenance, checking valves, hoses, connections, and flow processes.Use intermediate PC skills with Microsoft Office products including Excel.Essential SkillsExperience in food safety, mixing, chemical handling, filling, production, compounding, GMP, FDA regulations, batch mixing, and batch processing.Previous food processing experience and familiarity with HACCP programs strongly preferred.3-5 years in compounding or blending operations.Experience with computer-controlled automated equipment.Strong math skills for measurement conversions.Ability to lift 50 lbs to add ingredients into the blenders.Ability to go up and down stairs, occasionally with large hoses for batch making.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.07 - $24.07/hr.
