Chemical Operator
**Job Title: Chemical Operator** **Job Description** As a Chemical Operator, you will follow prescribed formulas to manufacture various chemical products. You will be responsible for operating process equipment, tending or controlling units, and systems that process chemicals into finished products. You will work in one of the following departments: Liquid, Reactor, or Gas. **Responsibilities** + Follow prescribed formulas to manufacture chemical products. + Operate process equipment and control units and systems. + Work in the Liquid department, performing distillation and sampling for pH, titrations, and viscosity. + Work in the Reactor department, handling hazardous materials and compounding chemicals. + Work in the Gas department, working with fluoride to create slurry/dry blends, mixing products, and packaging them into drums. **Essential Skills** + Experience as a chemical operator. + Knowledge of chemicals and chemical manufacturing processes. + Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Experience in mixing and blending chemicals. + Ability to perform testing such as pH, titrations, and viscosity. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED. + 1+ years of manufacturing experience. + Reliable work ethic. + Preferred: 1+ years of chemical manufacturing experience. + Ability to read and operate off batch sheets. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a 90-day contract to hire opportunity, with an end-of-year bonus and a potential raise of 4% or more. **Work Environment** You will work in a chemical company with two buildings. Safety is a priority, and all employees must wear safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and long sleeves/pants. Building A is dedicated to the gas/dry side, working with fluoride to create solid/slurry products. Building B is dedicated to the liquid side, working with various chemicals. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
