Job Description
We are seeking a Chemical Technician 2 who will monitor inventory levels, schedule work orders efficiently, and utilize the ERP system to manage materials. This role involves changing and dispensing materials for production, participating in customer and regulatory audits, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to safety and waste disposal regulations.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor inventory levels and schedule work orders effectively using the ERP system.Create work orders, transfer materials, and decrement from the ERP system.Change and dispense materials for production as necessary.Participate in customer and regulatory audits, including OSHA and EPA audits.Maintain accurate and detailed product, process, instrument, and training records.Follow current processes for the manufacturing, storage, and transportation of chemicals.Handle regulated waste in compliance with regulations.Gather, interpret, and analyze scale readouts and scripts.Troubleshoot quality and delivery issues as they arise.Create materials to internal specifications in a timely manner and deliver throughout the facility.Adhere to current waste disposal (RCRA) and hazardous material DOT regulations.Follow hazardous material spill response protocols.Participate in receiving, downloading, and uploading from tanker trucks into bulk tanks.Be part of the Hazardous Material Spill Response Team.Essential SkillsKnowledge of chemistry and chemical handling.Experience in laboratory and wet chemistry techniques.Strong attention to detail.Ability to perform unit conversions and measurements.Understanding of safety protocols.Basic lab experience.Familiarity with UV-Vis and chemical engineering.Knowledge of manufacturing processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry or other life science preferred.Associate's degree with 2-3 years of experience in a chemistry lab may be considered.Work Environment
This role requires working Friday to Sunday from 7pm to 8am. You will be part of a smaller team, working with 4-6 others on each shift, emphasizing teamwork. The work environment involves handling chemicals and other substances, and you must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment for extended periods. This includes safety toe footwear, gloves, safety glasses, goggles, face shield, lab coat, chemical resistant apron, sleeves, hood, Tyvek suits, and full-face respirators (APR &/or SCBA). Compliance with all safety standards and procedures is mandatory, and you must be medically cleared and adhere to the Respiratory Program.

The pay range for this position is $31.39 - $31.39
