**Job Title: Chemical Technician**
**Job Description**
• Performs all steps necessary to maintain correct chemical balance or material mixture needed to support proper equipment operation, product quality, or other chemical needs.
• Conducts chemical process tests, taking and measuring samples at specified intervals and stages.
• Manages, mixes, and stores all compounds and chemicals in a safe and efficient manner.
• Safely maintains and stores all relevant tools, instruments, measuring devices, and equipment to ensure proper function.
• Trains line operators on specific guidelines, procedures and safety precautions that must be adhered to.
• Adheres to applicable EPA regulations for proper labeling and disposal of chemical compounds and waste.
• Maintains all records related to processes and chemicals used including safety data sheets (SDS) and equipment operation logs.
• Works with external labs for routine chemical analysis, prepares samples, labeling, packaging and shipping, reviewing, logging and responding to results as necessary.
• Identifies and reports problems and/or accidents to supervising Chemical Engineer.
• Performs minor repairs and other related duties as assigned.

**Work Site**
This is a fully on-site position in Plano, Texas.
**Work Environment**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in an environment with the following requirements:
• Comfortable working in a Class 1,000 cleanroom environment.
• Comfortable working around chemicals.
• May be required to wear a cleanroom smock and proper safety equipment (hairnet, eye protection, face mask, gloves (nitrile or vinyl)), including respirator.
• Possibly responding to hazardous spills, leaks, and other emergency situations.
