Our client, one of the leading Chemical companies in USA is looking for a Chemical Technician at Houston, TX **Job Title:** Chemical Lab Technician I **Location:** 100% Onsite - Houston, TX 77064 **Hours:** 8 am – 5 pm (maybe adjusted based on the need) **Pay range:** $18-$24 per hour **Summary:** + The main function of a chemical technician is to conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials. + A typical chemical technician is either a research technician that works in an experimental lab or a process control technician who works in a manufacturing setting. + The research technician works on research and development and collects samples or produces compounds. + The process control technician focuses on quality assurance and production processes. **Job Responsibilities:** Working with hydrocarbon-based chemistry, fuels, oils + Using and maintaining lab equipment + Devising and executing experiments + Following directions provided by professionals + Recording the findings of analyses + Communicate the results accurately and quickly **Required Skills:** + Comfortable hands on working with chemicals, various types of specialized equipment, including computerized tools/instruments and software + Communication skills + Detailed oriented: attention to details to carry out the requested procedures properly, meticulously read and understand the directions + Analytical skill: Data mining and understanding the data generated + Organized: systematically manage the work and workspace **Preferred Skills:** + Experience in additives screening tools **Education/Experience:** + Open to new graduates but need some lab experience + BS in Chemistry or related field If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
