Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Technician II to monitor inventory levels, schedule work orders, and effectively utilize the ERP system. The role involves creating work orders, transferring materials, and maintaining accurate and detailed records of products, processes, instruments, and training. The candidate will also be responsible for following processes for manufacturing, storage, and transportation of chemicals, handling regulated waste, and participating in customer and regulatory audits.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor inventory levels and schedule work orders effectively using the ERP system.Utilize the ERP system to create work orders, transfer materials, and decrement from the system.Change and dispense materials for production as necessary.Participate in customer and regulatory audits, including OSHA and EPA audits.Maintain accurate and detailed records of products, processes, instruments, and training.Follow current processes for manufacturing, storage, and transportation of chemicals.Handle regulated waste.Gather, interpret, and analyze scale readouts and scripts.Troubleshoot issues with quality and delivery as they arise.Create materials to internal specifications in a timely manner and deliver throughout IDT.Adhere to current waste disposal (RCRA) and hazardous material DOT regulations and follow hazardous material spill response protocols.Participate in receiving, downloading, and uploading from tanker trucks into bulk tanks.Participate in the Hazardous Material Spill Response Team.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate’s degree plus 2 years of applicable experienceBachelor’s degree preferredBasic knowledge of chemistryHAZWOPER 24hr-Technician Certification (will be trained onsite)RCRA awareness certification (will be trained onsite)Certified Powered Industrial Truck Operator (will be trained onsite)Work Environment
The position requires compliance with all safety standards and procedures, including working around chemicals and other substances. The candidate must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment for extended periods, including safety toe footwear, gloves, safety glasses, goggles, face shield, lab coat, chemical resistant apron, sleeves, hood, and/or Tyvek suits. The use of a full-face respirator (APR &/or SCBA) for long periods of time is required.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.40 - $24.40
