Chemical Testing Technician - North Slope, AK

POSITION SUMMARY:     Chemical Technician:  Responsible for the initial startup, and the routine operation and maintenance of North Slope-based chemical injection and sampling equipment. The work schedule will be a rotational hitch of 21 days on followed by 21 days off, or 14 days on and 14 days off.  Daily work shifts will be 12 hours.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

Maintain performance data for both the chemical injection system and the sampling locations in the appropriate databases. Check, maintain and set chemical rates, sampling as needed. Chemical pump checks, rating, and minor maintenance Determination of chemical amounts in tanks and recording the values Chemical injection fitting and tubing walkdowns

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1-year oilfield experience with initial startup, routine operation and maintenance of North Slope based chemical injection equipment Should possess strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel. Swagelok training and mechanical skills preferred. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: 

Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
