Job Title: Chemist
Location: Madison Heights, Michigan
Hours / Location: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Type: Contract, 1 year
Responsibilities
Operate and perform routine maintenance on analytical equipment.
Ensure proper upkeep of analytical methods and procedures.
Collaborate effectively with Henkel project teams to deliver high-quality results.
Prepare detailed customer reports and manage project portfolios.
Communicate directly with customers through correspondence, presentations, and updates.
Maintain compliance with corporate standards, including safety, housekeeping, and quality protocols.
Manage digital programs such as Microsoft Suite, LIMS, and statistical analysis tools.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, with prior laboratory experience preferred.
Experience in an analytical laboratory is highly desirable.
Strong wet chemistry skills, including titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, and gravimetric determinations.
Familiarity with analytical instruments such as GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, and FTIR is a plus.
Experience with pH meters and specific ion electrode meters.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong chemical math skills.
Proficient with PCs and relevant software applications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
