Seeking a Chemist in Lincoln, Nebraska! Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our team. The Chemist will be responsible for testing raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products, ensuring compliance with established test procedures and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in analytical chemistry and be familiar with various laboratory instruments and data acquisition systems. Responsibilities + Test raw materials and finished pharmaceutical and biological products following established test procedures. + Utilize analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV-VIS, and dissolution apparatus. + Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, Company Quality Standards, and FDA/EU Guidelines. + Adhere to testing schedules to accomplish a high volume of critical work without compromising the integrity of the results. + Accurately document results and maintain records in Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). + Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues. + Participate in investigation and problem-solving activities as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred. + Strong organizational skills. + Effective communication and teamwork abilities. + Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities. Work Environment The position is based in a FDA/USDA/EU regulated lab environment. The chemistry lab has about 30 people and is divided into three areas: raw material testing, biological testing, and pharmaceutical testing. The lab focuses on quality control of incoming raw materials and finished products from manufacturing. This role requires adherence to tight deadlines and the ability to switch gears quickly. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The team is known for being supportive, and there are opportunities for growth as the company expands.
