Job Description
We are seeking an Analytical Chemist specializing in Wet Chemistry to join our research and development organization. role involves qualitative and quantitative analyses of small organic compounds, additives, degradation products, and impurities in complex polymer matrices.
ResponsibilitiesPerform moisture analysis via autotitration systems and execute methods or procedures.Operate and maintain instruments for wet chemistry and HPLC.Perform moisture testing and stability testing following test methods and SOPs.Develop test methods under instruction.Prepare and analyze moderate to high volumes of samples within required turnaround times.Report unexpected observations to the lab supervisor or corresponding SMEs.Maintain good documentation and lab notebooks per company procedures.Maintain calibration and maintenance records for instruments.Data entry using laboratory information management software.Prepare technical reports with accurate interpretation of analytical data.Maintain laboratory supplies.Conduct other laboratory tasks as assigned.Perform other wet chemistry tests and product stability-related tests such as loss on dry (LOD), water content tests, and chromatography following SOP instructions.Essential SkillsMinimum 2 years, ideally 5 years, of industry experience with titrations, autotitration, pH determination, water solubility, and viscosity.Proficient in wet chemistry techniques and HPLC, including sample preparation, instrumentation operation, and result interpretation.Experience following and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs).Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry.Experience in an Analytical Characterization setting.Experience with medical devices is preferred.Experience in a GMP/GLP environment is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh morale and strong technical capabilities.Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with team members.Ability to multitask and prioritize workflow independently.Eager to learn and grow, high-energy, self-starter, motivated.Work Environment
You will be working in a laboratory environment, reporting to a team leader. The role involves working with various instruments for wet chemistry and HPLC, performing tests, and ensuring accurate documentation and maintenance of records. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
