Summary:
Analyzes samples and/or develops/validates methodologies for various compounds and components in compliance with SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines.
Job Responsibilities:

•\tIndependently able to use and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks, while learning to perform routine and non-routine maintenance
•\tProvides input and participates in project meetings
•\tPerforms peer review and QC review of data
•\tPerforms assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively completes multiple assignments.
•\tContributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains a positive attitude. Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.
•\tMaintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment
•\tUnderstands data generated, and history of methods.
•\tRecognizes deviations from normal results and inform Study Director, Principal Investigator, and/or management of any problems and/or deviations that may affect the integrity of the data and participates in corrective action of problems.
•\tIdentifies problems, determines appropriate actions, and implements solutions with support or independently as appropriate.
•\tAble to adapt to new procedures or particular needs as directed.
•\tAble to identify critical steps in an assay.
•\tLeads process improvement initiatives.
•\tCompletes all required training courses.
•\tTrains and assists less experienced staff
•\tMay assist in optimizing and validating methods for a variety of matrices
•\tParticipates in client visits or calls as needed
•\tLearns to write text for reports, methods and, or protocols
•\tKnowledge of departmental procedures and policies
•\tViewed as a resource within their team
•\tConducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
•\tPerforms other duties as assigned
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one?s time.
- Basic knowledge of the chemical composition, structure and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.
- Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.
Education/Experience:
-Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field such as: Bio , Biochemistry, Chemistry, etc.
No professional licenses or certifications are required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00
