Job Description

We are seeking an Analytical Chemist specializing in Wet Chemistry to join our research and development organization within the Analytical Characterization group. The position involves qualitative and quantitative analyses of small organic compounds, additives, degradation products, and impurities in complex polymer matrices.

ResponsibilitiesWork with the appointed scientist to perform moisture analysis via titration and autotitration systems.Execute methods or procedures in support of New Product Development and Life-Cycle Management.Operate and maintain instruments.Perform moisture testing following test methods and procedures.Develop test methods under instruction.Perform stability testing following SOPs.Focus on proper sample preparation, data collection, notebook recording, data analysis, and data reporting.Prepare and analyze a moderate to high volume of samples within required turnaround times.Report any unexpected observations to the lab supervisor or corresponding SMEs.Maintain good documentation and lab notebooks per company procedures.Maintain calibration and maintenance records for instruments.Enter data using spreadsheet/word processing or laboratory information management software as requested.Prepare technical reports with accurate interpretation of analytical data.Maintain laboratory supplies.Conduct other laboratory tasks as assigned.Perform other wet chemistry tests and product stability-related tests, such as loss on dry (LOD), water content test, and/or chromatography following SOP instructions on sample preparation and data analysis.Essential SkillsMinimum 8 years of industry experience with titrations, autotitration, pH determination, water solubility, and viscosity.Proficient with sample preparation, instrumentation operation, and interpreting results in HPLC.Experience following and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs).BS Degree in chemistry or biochemistry.Experience in an Analytical Characterization setting.Experience in wet chemistry including handling organic solvents.Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with team members.Capability to multitask and prioritize workflow independently.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with medical devices is preferred.Experience in a GMP/GLP environment is a plus.High morale and strong technical capabilities are essential.Strong potential and willingness to learn and grow.Ability to multitask and prioritize requests from multiple groups.Work Environment

The candidate will join a team of approximately 10 members. The role involves working in a laboratory environment with a focus on wet chemistry techniques. The position offers a long-term opportunity to gain experience with method development and validation. A self-starter mindset is essential for success in this role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00
