Job Title: Analytical ChemistJob Description We are seeking an enthusiastic Analytical Chemist with a strong interest in research in the agricultural and/or analytical chemistry field. This individual will assist chemists in method development using capillary electrophoresis, HPLC/UPLC, and mass spectrometry. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, quickly adapt to changing situations, and possess a willingness to learn. Responsibilities + Support department in chromatography techniques. + Respond to collaborators' inquiries and troubleshooting requests. + Prepare samples for analytical analysis from biological matrices. + Optimize and develop new sample preparation methods. + Lead efforts to develop new assays and improve existing methods. + Write reports and test methods. + Analyze data to share with collaborators. Essential Skills + At least 3 years of experience in analytical chemistry utilizing analytical instrumentation like HPLC. + Hands-on experience with capillary electrophoresis or UPLC for the characterization of biologics. + Experience in method development for quantitation of biomarkers from complex matrices. + Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting capillary electrophoresis and HPLCs instruments. + Experience in sample preparation and method development for biological samples. + Strong teamwork and communication skills. + Self-motivated and detail-oriented. Additional Skills & Qualifications + MS with minimum experience or a degree in biochemistry/analytical chemistry/biology or related field. + Experience with robotic sample preparation valued but not required. + Knowledge of various sample cleanup techniques to enrich actives in biologic samples. + Flexible and able to respond quickly to shifting priorities. Work Environment The work environment is a laboratory setting where you will work with advanced analytical instrumentation and technologies.
