ビジネスに重要な影響を与える新製品の開発を目的としたサンプルの設計および実験的な検討を行います。そのために、分析、実験、調査およびその他の事実確認作業を実施します。またテストおよび顧客サンプルの設計・作成、分析も行います。特許開示や技術的および/または科学的進展につながる研究を文書化します。

自分の仕事の質だけでなくチームの仕事への影響も考え、自分の作業領域で発生する可能性のある典型的な問題を認識し、解決するために、確立された操作手順または分析的/かがｋ的手法から解決策を評価し、選択します。
