Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemist with expertise in PH meter, spectrometer, and a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a science field. The role requires working with hazardous waste alongside four other chemists. This position involves being on your feet throughout the day, collecting and testing samples.

ResponsibilitiesFollow permit requirements to collect and test compounds and samples using applied methods, techniques, and company policies.Enter quantities, volumes, and analytical results into waste management software (WMS/Preview).Assist with QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by the permit.Utilize PH meter, TOC, analyzer, and spectrometer for testing.Follow all approved Laboratory SOPs.Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents.Assist in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.Perform other duties as required.Essential SkillsBachelor's or Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.Working knowledge of standard laboratory procedures.Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software for drafting reports and entering test results.Ability to complete various paperwork requirements properly.Operational knowledge of tools, equipment, and tasks on the job.Additional Skills & QualificationsOne-year experience in a related industry preferred.Completion of 40-hour OSHA training with 8-hour refresher courses.Experience with gas chromatography (GC-MS) and pipetting.Work Environment

The work environment involves working with water, dirt, and soil. You will be collaborating with four other chemists. The position offers first and third shifts (the third shift is paid $1 higher, from 11 pm to 7 am). You will be required to wear a respirator (3M, Half Face) and will be expected to be on your feet for the majority of your shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
