Job Title: ChemistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the collection, testing, and analysis of compounds and samples, ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety standards. You will also be expected to maintain laboratory equipment and perform quality assurance and control tasks in adherence to established protocols. Responsibilities + Follow permit requirements to collect and test compounds and samples using applied methods and techniques. + Enter quantities, volumes, and analytical results into waste management software. + Perform QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by permit and follow all approved Laboratory SOPs. + Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety standards including proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemical agents. + Operate and maintain laboratory equipment. + Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management. Essential Skills + Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). + Proficiency in analytical chemistry. + Experience with quality control and quality assurance processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in completing analysis of waste stream samples per SOPs and waste analysis plan. + Inventory control for lab reagents. + Maintenance of samples and instruments. + Data entry skills. + Experience with analytical equipment usage. + Filing and administrative activities within a laboratory setting. Work Environment This role is based in a laboratory environment where you will work with various analytical equipment. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and proper lab attire to ensure a safe working environment. The work hours and shifts may vary based on the lab's operational requirements. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
