Braun Intertec’s is seeking a Chemist to join our Concrete Science group and work alongside our Petrographic laboratory.  This position is located in Bloomington MN. 

Responsibilities:

Experience with wet chemistry techniques, XRF, XRD, TGA, FTIR. Train and Mentor Technicians and Professionals on chemical analysisMaintain quality standards in laboratory analysis.Coordinate and manage various type of samples.Prepare proposals for testing and consulting projectsAct as the primary author of deliverables for projects or researchCoordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project successEnsure adherence to quality standards and safety regulationsTravel up to 15% of time

Required Skills:

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Braun’s company standardsAbility to conduct laboratory work.Possess technical aptitude to solve technical issues where solutions are undefined in typical practiceAble to interact with clients to help maintain project schedules and deliverables.Ability to work within a strong team environment under a matrix organizational styleSelf-motivated to learn new skillsAbility to lift at least 30 lbs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry5 to 7 years of experience with laboratory chemistry techniques.Basic understanding of concrete properties and testing methods.Proficient in excel and word,A valid driver’s license.
