Job Description
We are seeking a Chemist Operator to facilitate chemical reactions for the API (active pharmaceutical ingredients) and flavor and fragrance industries. This role involves producing APIs and directly making chemicals for the pharmaceutical industry.
ResponsibilitiesFacilitate chemical reactions for the production of APIs.Work with glassware and small-scale systems to produce products.Handle and move carts of chemicals and packaging, with a lifting requirement of up to 50lbs.Operate reaction chambers, distillation equipment (20L to 200L), and drying filters (50 gallons to 1500 gallons).Essential SkillsChemistry knowledge.Experience in API and pharmaceutical manufacturing.Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations.3+ years of experience in Chemical Operating, preferably facilitating reactions.High School Diploma.Additional Skills & QualificationsHands-on experience with active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).Work Environment
This position is on the 1st shift, with working hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm. The job is based in a chemical manufacturing facility with a light smell of chemicals. The company has invested significantly in expansions and renovations, creating immense growth opportunities in roles such as R&D, laboratory, supervision, and management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
