Job Description

We are looking for a Chemistry Compliance Consultant to lead a Good Chemistry Laboratory Practices Initiative. The role involves overseeing and developing the initiative and ensuring its successful rollout at the client site.

MUST HAVE3-5 years of hands-on experience operating analytical chemistry equipment (HPLC, GC) in the industry (OTCs, pharma, supplements, food and beverage, cosmetics).Experience writing and editing SOPs for chemistry equipment such as HPLC and GC.Ability to train individuals on procedures.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Experience in Quality Control Chemistry or Quality Assurance with a Chemistry focus.Ability to work independently.Life Sciences degree highly preferred.ResponsibilitiesObserve the Chemistry team to determine current functionality including sample receipt, work assignment/scheduling, safety, sample preparation, adherence to methods, review of results, and final disposition.Revise or create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Test Methods, Forms, etc. for Chemistry testing and equipment.Assess the adoption of interventions by working with members of Quality Assurance and leadership to formalize created or revised documentation.Train staff to comply with policies and procedures.Monitor Chemistry for adherence to updated practices, including spot checks, tracking, and trending Out of Specification (OOS) results due to lab error, and meetings with leadership to report on findings.Report any significant gaps in expertise of onsite workforce or infrastructure to assist in future planning.Update and enforce the sample receiving process for optimal workflow.Ensure training documents are completed with staff.Ensure all PPE is utilized.Review and ensure processes are updated and followed.Support with OOS investigation closure and ensure any aging OOS are completed.Update equipment maintenance SOPs and conduct training sessions.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a lab environment onsite in Burbank. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm PT.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.
