The primary role involves assisting with setups and preparations for routine analyses, following laboratory SOPs and protocols. This position requires performing and documenting routine tasks related to sample processing and assays using standard laboratory methods and techniques. Responsibilities + Assist with setups and preparations for routine analyses in the Chemistry Vitamins lab. + Perform and document routine tasks related to sample processing and assays. + Follow laboratory SOPs and protocols for measurements, mixtures, formulations, and data entry. + Conduct specific procedures and tests within and outside the laboratory. + Modify or adapt techniques to fit special needs or problems. + Calculate data from routine tests to final results and evaluate for accuracy. + Assist with and occasionally perform specialized and non-routine tests and assays. + Maintain records of work and coordinate with other technicians and scientists. + Receive, register, and prepare samples for analytical testing through data entry, weighing, and physical homogenization. + Prepare and perform routine to complex analyses per NQAC methods. + Read and record results of analyses, ensuring identification numbers match correct samples. + Operate basic laboratory equipment such as balances, pH meter, colorimeter, spectrophotometer, autoclave, evaporator, etc. + Prepare standards, reagents, and other materials needed for analyses. + Perform routine lab and department maintenance to keep areas clean and orderly. + Interpret customer requests and perform receiving and log-in functions. + Conduct preliminary interpretations of data or observations and draft short reports to the supervisor. + Ensure adherence to safety regulations and NQAC SOPs. + Assure quality of results by assisting with the establishment and maintenance of QA documents, plans, and ICPs. + Document QA data and report to lead or management. + Maintain equipment in reliable working order and make or request repairs as needed. + Identify and resolve process or analytical methodology problems. + Assist in the write-up, review, and proper documentation for processes or methods. + Attend internal and external training programs as assigned by management. Essential Skills + Proficiency in wet chemistry, GLP, and laboratory techniques. + Experience in chemistry, microbiology, and biology. + Data entry skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry). + Undergraduate chemistry lab experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic computer skills. + Ability to follow SOPs and protocols accurately. + Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. + Good communication and team collaboration skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
