**Chemistry Lab Technician** Laboratory Hunterdon County, NJ, US Pay Rate Low: 26 | Pay Rate High: 28 + Added - 31/01/2025 Apply for Job **Job Summary:** We are looking for an Entry-Level Chemistry Lab Technician to support our laboratory team. This role involves assisting chemists with routine lab tasks, preparing samples and solutions, and maintaining lab equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist chemists with laboratory tasks. + Prepare samples, standards, and solutions using volumetric and gravimetric methods. + Perform sample extractions. + Set up, calibrate, and operate basic lab equipment and instruments. + Conduct standard laboratory tests under direct supervision. + Accurately record and document test results in lab notebooks and electronic systems. + Follow established procedures and safety regulations. + Clean and maintain glassware, pipettes, and laboratory equipment. + Manage reagent and sample log-in/out processes. + Monitor lab supplies and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed. + Use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, LIMS, and data acquisition programs. + Write, revise, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to job tasks. + Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned. **Educational Background:** + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field. **Experience:** + 0-2 years of experience in an analytical laboratory setting. + Experience with **trace organic GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry)** is a plus. + Some experience with **LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)** is preferred.
