Job Description:

Provide quality test results by operating general chemistry instruments and performing manual methods. Analyze and organize work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling, sorting specimens, checking labeling, logging specimens, and arranging reports for delivery. Maintain clean and orderly work surfaces. Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure acceptable levels of analytic performance. Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and troubleshooting, and calibrating equipment using approved testing procedures. Process and test up to 1000 samples per shift, working with blood/urine samples and performing necessary testing. Maintain records that demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Work Environment

Lab includes R&D, specimen receiving, chemistry, and microbiology. Training hours are M-F, 6:30am/7am to 3:30pm/4pm. PM s The office building includes a call center, laboratory, and a clerical center.About Actalent
