Chest Pain Accreditation Coordinator Cardiac Cath Lab FT Days
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** The Chest Pain Center Coordinator will lead and coordinate care for cardiac patients across multiple departments incorporating both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The Chest Pain Center Coordinator will collaborate with the Cath Lab Medical Director and clinical teams to enhance patient care. The role includes coordination and oversight of the cardiac accreditation processes at St Mary’s Health Care System. The Chest Pain Center Coordinator will participate in performance improvement activities for the Cardiac Cath/EP Lab, especially as it relates to the NCDR, PCI Determination of need and Chest Pain Center Accreditation. The Chest Pain Center Coordinator will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of program goals and requirements related to chest pain center accreditation. This role serves as a resource for both licensed and non-licensed personnel, ensuring high-quality care and education for patients. The Chest Pain Center Coordinator will facilitate training and education for staff regarding cardiac care best practices and oversee the ongoing continuous quality improvement (CQI) process for cardiac patient care. The Chest Pain Center Coordinator will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cardiac services provided. This coordinator will be responsible to present cardiovascular services data at facility meetings. Duties include, but are not limited to, knowledge of and workings of charge master and revenue cycle for the department and reconciling daily charges; assist department Manager with clerical duties and responsibilities; support physician, staff and vendor relations, and other duties as assigned. **Position Requirements** : Minimum LPN/Paramedic required. Prefer Bachelor of Science in Nursing with RN license. Minimum of 2 years' experience in related nursing, radiology and or cardiovascular specialty, or related field of healthcare. Requires general experience and knowledge of computer systems. Experience in information technology, and relative clinical operations. A working knowledge of computer software, including Word and Excel. Registry data base knowledge preferred. Requires limited supervision with periodic guidance. Candidate is able to work independently and collaboratively in teams. A high degree of initiative and organization is required to accomplish duties within time deadlines. Abides by HIPPA guidelines to protect PHI. Must be able to recognize erroneous data conditions and report to Physician and or Manager. Experience and knowledge in supply chain management. Works closely with but not limited to: Cardiovascular Services, Bio-Med, Engineering, EMS Providers, Nursing, Supply, IT, HIM, Patient Financial Services, and Education Departments. Exudes professionalism, organizational skills and efficiency.
