Kforce's client, a New Jersey based publicly traded corporation is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer. This will be a hybrid role located in the greater Morristown, NJ area. The CAO reports to the CFO and will play a key role in managing the company's accounting operations including overseeing multiple accounting and finance functions- the financial close, reporting, internal controls, and audit and tax processes. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations * Develop, maintain, and update company accounting policies * Monitor new and proposed accounting and reporting standards * Act as the primary liaison with external auditors * Provide technical accounting guidance to senior management * Participate in key governance meetings, including the Board of Directors' Audit Committee The company offers a very generous comp plan, including a competitive base salary, performance bonus and equity.
