Chief Ambulatory Revenue Cycle Officer AdventHealth

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Vice President/ Chief Ambulatory Revenue Officer position for AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL. **GENERAL SUMMARY** **:** Reporting to the SVP Revenue Management, the Chief Ambulatory Revenue Officer has responsibility and accountability for providing the leadership necessary to set and support execution of the strategic direction and success of the physician enterprise and ambulatory revenue cycle. This includes primarily non-acute, clinic, ambulatory surgery center, hospital related professional fees, ambulance, and other non-hospital revenue and billing. **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** **:** · Ensures alignment of individual functional areas within the broader ambulatory, physician Revenue Cycle strategic objectives and goals to include physician enterprise, pre-service financial clearance, and clinic or front desk accountabilities and policies and procedures · Oversees standardization, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of each functional area to align with identified best practice standards · Works with compliance officers, ensuring that the system Ambulatory Revenue Cycle is compliant with all state and federal regulations, including but not limited to 501r, HIPAA, and collection laws · Follows, shares, and incorporates ambulatory revenue cycle market innovation and trends in alignment with leading revenue cycle practices · Provides insights at a global and payer level around financial and operational performance outcomes to achieve ambulatory, physician revenue cycle goals and objectives · Supports functional leadership team to execute on SLAs with internal and external stakeholders and to develop and reinforce training/ process improvement standards · Influences change in a matrix-management environment to achieve department goals in collaboration with Division RCOs and Division CFOs, physician practice CEOs and COOs, physician group CFOs, and other medical group operational stakeholders. · Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, Cash Posting, Cash Reconciliation, Finance, Managed Care, Physician Enterprise, Accounting, and Information Technology to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer guidelines, and industry best practices related to revenue cycle management and the alignment of performance goals and how those influence maximum net revenue yield. · Provides guidance and support to functional leadership responsible for personnel management, establishing and executing corporate policies, goals & objectives, and establishing departmental administrative decisions and budget · Member of the Corporate Revenue Cycle (RC) Cabinet, and participates in monthly meetings with the Divisional CFOs to communicate ambulatory revenue cycle performance and drive improvements · Recommends strategic and policy changes to RC Cabinet for ultimate submission and approval by Corporate Revenue Management Council · Works with Sr. VP of Revenue Management to complete various financial forecasts, month-end financial reporting, receivable performance, short-term and long-range strategic planning and provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on revenue cycle performance, challenges, and opportunities for growth. · Works with the Performance Improvement and Business Support leadership team to ensure the performance of a virtual workforce and manage vendors for outsourced functions · Develops and implements strategic initiatives to optimize revenue cycle performance, including billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement processes. · Leads and manages a team of revenue cycle professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. · Monitors revenue cycle metrics, analyze trends, and develops actionable insights to improve revenue generation and cash flow including liaison with Managed Care regarding the payment rates of the Ambulatory Revenue cycle · Implements technology solutions and tools to streamline revenue cycle processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce administrative burden. · Stays informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in revenue cycle management to drive continuous improvement and innovation. · Drives strategic direction of billing and A/R management outsourcing and coordination with Business Support team leadership Qualifications **EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED** **:** · Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field · 5-10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare finance, or related fields with progressive leadership responsibilities in a healthcare setting. · HFMA membership **_EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION PREFERRED_** **:** Minimum 8 years of progressive experience leading Patient Financial Services in a hospital and/or physician environment Master’s degree in finance, business, or health administration CPC or CRCR certification Certification in HFMA areas or membership or certification in NAHAM, AMGA, MGMA Project management skills and or certifications Epic EMR certifications in related areas Revenue Cycle certifications such as the CHFP If this position sounds like a great match for your skills set and experience, please apply online now!
