The Opportunity Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will also collaborate with the team members of Aon Korea and Aon Global Broking Centers around the world. The Chief Broking Officer’s main responsibility is to build and maintain Aon Korea’s industry leading broking capabilities and thereby help our clients to obtain best in class insurance programs with most competitive terms and conditions. The CBO shall develop and execute Aon Korea’s broking strategy across several business lines including but not limited to property, casualty, construction & engineering, power, infrastructure, renewable energy and trade credit. Responsibilities: Continue to build and improve Aon Korea’s broking strategy to be the most competitive in the industry. Effectively communicate and collaborate with Aon Korea colleagues and Aon Global Broking Centers in Singapore, London and in the U.S. (Bermuda). Serve as a primary internal source for information concerning market trends, pricing and other underwriting matters such as demand and leadership changes with our key insurer trading partners; and give feedback to Aon stakeholders what implications this will have to our business. Build and maintain close partnership with both local and global carriers and reinsurers. Assist sales and account executives for renewal business and in their pursuit of new opportunities by providing valuable insurance market information and obtaining best pricing, terms and conditions. Spot new business opportunities – industry segments and / or products – and develop innovative solutions and capacity with re/insurers. Drive commission standardization and optimization with carrier relationships in the market to ensure proper compensation. Requirements Good understanding of commercial lines insurance and have broking experience. Expertise in some areas of property, casualty, construction, power, infrastructure and renewable energy will be preferred. Excellent team work and communication skills both in Korean and English. Genuine expertise in the field – able to exemplify “the best of Aon” with internal teams, clients, carriers, at conferences, in publications, etc. Deep connections across partners and industry groups Performance-driven with “winning” spirit.
