We are seeking a Chief Electrical Estimator with extensive experience in mission critical, healthcare, and/or industrial (water waste water) sectorsExperience in high-tech aerospace, aviation, and infrastructure is highly preferredThe ideal candidate will possess strong conceptual estimating skills to train and guide their teamThis high-pressure, high-demand role requires comprehensive knowledge across all aspects of the business and strong client interaction skillsElectrical experience is mandatoryThe Chief Estimator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the Estimating and Preconstruction team for various electrical construction projectsThis includes administering operating budgets, staffing, work assignments, salary, and performance reviewsThe Chief Estimator will also support and administer all department standards and procedures as well as be responsible for the final review and approvals of estimate packagesWe will consider titles like Operations Manager, Director, Preconstruction Director, Managing Director, and Senior Level EstimatorBased in Northern DenverWhy you should be interested:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related fieldPrevious experience as a Lead or Senior Level Estimator10+ years of electrical construction estimating experienceKnowledgeable of current local and national electrical codes (N.E.C.)Advanced knowledge of assigned discipline, construction technology, estimating techniques and cost controlAble to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plans and specifications to include blueprints, proposals, and other relevant design documentsKnowledgeable of electrical materials and methods of installationPossesses a strategic mindset and sound judgment and ability to develop and manage strategic capture plansAbility to interpret computerized cost data and systemsAbility to perform arithmetic calculations required for estimatingAbility to estimate all types of projects and to coordinate and supervise group work effortAbility to identify and meet customers’ needs, expectations, and requirementsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of specific variables in situations where only limited standardization existsProficient in using computers, Microsoft Office applications, Accubid, and BluebeamAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessaryAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitudeExcellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skillsAbility to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team playerAbility to build relationships with teams and oversee strategic actions with othersAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and othersSelf-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periods of time while working independentlyAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
