**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Chief Engineer** to join our Strategic National Solutions Team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of technical systems architecture including Mission Integration, Space Operations, familiarity with Space Force/Space Development Agency tranche capabilities, strong knowledge of agile service development and delivery, and be capable of overseeing the systems integration and architecture of a multi-partner program valued up to $50 million.
You will oversee and shape the technical architecture and integration of a large satellite and ground network, working with military and civilians to integrate systems into a robust and redundant mission environment. You will have industry knowledge and have the technical experience to lead complex and time sensitive initiatives. You will be required to understand the details of multiple systems and lead their teams together in creating a system that successfully supports the customer mission. You will need a good understanding of not just how computer systems integrate, but how military and government use systems.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Provide engineering leadership, technology and architectural expertise to lead the team to execution success
+ Create relationships working with other technical leaders, coordinating separate engineering teams to integrate into a successful solution.
+ Experienced as a trusted advisor and partner to government customers
+ Lead other engineers, and team leads to develop schedules, and work plans for the various elements of a project.
+ Ensures that technical components utilized by the system are well tested and scanned, identifying vulnerable areas, and determining paths to rectify those. Works with testing and security hardening teams to ensure the solution is reliable.
+ Works with Government to ensure that the technical approach and components of the system is inline with requirements to operate on Government networks.
+ Works with documentation team to keep technical documents and diagrams correct and up to date.
+ Keeps updated on various technical approaches, recognizing the strengths and weaknesses of them and how they would be able to operate on government networks. Able to negotiate how different approaches to solutions can work together in integration and communicate those details to subordinate technical teams.
+ Able to communicate at differing technical levels, both to engineers and to management.
+ Able to take requirements, determine how they should be met, and communicate to the appropriate subordinate teams how to meet them.
+ Keeps updated on the progress of multiple subordinate technical teams and provides feedback to keep the progress on track with the planned integration.
+ Adds value to the day-to-day operations of the business by providing documentation and metrics to the customers and leadership team.
+ Support proposal efforts by providing guidance and writing for requirements.
+ Enhances the reputation of the enterprise by accomplishing new and different requests for the customer.
+ Performs other responsibilities as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
+ Master’s degree in engineering or related technical/business field
+ 15+ Years’ combined experience with software engineering, systems architecture, space missions, integration activities and /or systems engineering.
+ Experience with cloud architectures, containerized software and scalable redundant and systems.
+ Experience with AI/ML technologies.
+ Strong leadership, problem solving, meeting facilitation skills
+ Proven ability to perform in a technical overseer capacity, interface with clients, possess excellent written and oral communications.
+ Proven leadership & management track record; leading many small teams through product delivery.
+ Must possess outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate with Parsons executives, government sponsors, and all employees.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Demonstrated understanding of space systems development, test & integration, mission integration, and mission operations.

Salary Range:
$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
