Job Description
Oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, including preventive and corrective maintenance.Ensure the property’s facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition.Manage, supervise, and mentor the engineering team.Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all systems and equipment.Monitor and control departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.Perform regular inspections of the property’s mechanical systems and infrastructure.Collaborate with the Director of Engineering on long-term projects, such as renovations and upgrades.Ensure compliance with local safety and environmental regulations.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.Respond to emergency situations in a timely and efficient manner.Provide training to engineering staff on operational procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance techniques.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or similar role in the hospitality industry or commercial facilities.Strong leadership and team management skills.In-depth knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks.Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.Certification in engineering or facilities management is a plus.Must be fluent in Thai.
