Chief Engineer
The **Chief Engineer** has overall responsibility for all aspects of facility management services and/or operations. The Chief Engineer is ABM's primary point of contact for day-to-day operations. They will create an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the facility management environment. The Chief will drive continual improvements to the operation by creating an expectation of learning and development of their team members. **Pay Range is: $88.99** /HR (http://60.0.0.5/HR) The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. **Benefit Information:** This is a union position and as such will include union benefits. **Basic Qualifications:** • Five (5) years + of Engineering experience • Five (5) years of Team Management experience **Preferred Qualifications:** • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field with three (3) years of work experience is preferred • Without a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related technical field, seven (7) years of experience is preferred **Responsibilities:** • Oversee all aspects of the facility’s critical physical infrastructure • Oversee the development and accuracy of site-level operating procedures and other documentation • Supervise and escalate as needed ABM’s response to after-hours emergencies at assigned facilities • Manage the Change Management Program • Manage the MOP, SOP and EOP Program • Audit all CMMS databases for accuracy and completeness, produce reports as required at customer request, control system access and user credentials • Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures of assigned contracts • Manage the complete physical assets pertaining to the Operation and Maintenance of the critical and non-critical infrastructure equipment and systems • Resolve all electrical, mechanical and Fire Protection System issues in the facilities while minimizing risk and business impact and communicate issues to management and customers in a timely manner • Manage the customer relationship and act as the single point-of-contact for all facility-related issues, including schedules, new business, projects, budgets, expansion, and staffing • Set, review and approve employee work/PTO schedules, audit and process employee time and payroll • Manage access to the facilities ensuring the appropriate access control lists are maintained and reviewed regularly • Make space and power recommendations to the customer and manage power and cooling capacity and environmental conditions • Ensure compliance of Customer SLA parameters and Change Control activities, review and approve all system changes (set-points, thresholds, alarm-points, etc.) which could impact customer operations • Ensure that ABM training expectations are met and audit the process monthly • Identify, vet, and approve all sub-contractors who will perform work on-site • Develop PM contract scopes-of-work, ensure contract terms are fulfilled Military and veteran friendly employer, veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply.
