In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions. BAE Systems is seeking a self-motivated Engineering Leader to set the engineering vision for our growing Eclipse RF portfolio. The candidate will serve as a chief engineer on a project or project family. Eclipse RF is recognized as an industry leader supplying high performance RF transceivers and systems to support demanding Software Defined Radio applications. Chief Engineer Primary Responsibilities: The CE is the technical conscience of the product area, ensuring the system(s), product(s), and service(s) being developed and delivered are viable, fit for purpose, and will satisfy customer needs, product/system requirements, and the mission and/or application. Key responsibilities include: + Technical Solution Definition, Viability and Adequacy + Leads (system) architecture design and optimization activities, trades and analyses + Ensures system design and implementation meet technical requirements and customer/mission needs within allocated engineering cost & schedule + Ensures system design is realizable, maintainable, supportable and testable + Drives technical risk and opportunity definition, identification, and mitigation/realization + Technical interface to Customer, PMO and executive leadership: + Understand requirements, missions, use cases, and constraints + Technical risks and issues including impact assessment, mitigation, minimization and closure plans **Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status** **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelors Degree in a technical field and 12 years of relevant engineering experience + Subject Matter Expert with reciever technologies + At least ten years of experience in engineering development of complex electronic systems including transition to production and product sustainment. + Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the business **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Working knowledge and experience in the development of Signals Intelligence Systems and mission applications. + 10 years of experience as a chief engineer or equivalent leading development of RF EW Systems + Experience in the development of product strategy and associated technical roadmaps. + Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $143000 - $243100 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
