About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is looking for a Chief Finacial Officer for our corporate office located in Kansas City, Missouri.

Position Oview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. This includes tracking cash flow, financial planning, analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses, and proposing corrective actions. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring the company's financial stability, and supporting growth objectives.

What You'll Do

Essential Functions

Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s long-term goals.Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and analyses.Reviews and recommends changes where appropriate to operating company project mark-up strategies, contract review process regarding risk and cash flow, operational productivity and SG&A expenditures.Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team on financial performance and projections.Financial Management:Manage the company’s financial planning and analysis functions.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Oversee cash flow management, investment activities, and capital structure decisions.Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.Risk Management:Identify and manage financial risks, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks.Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Ensure the company’s risk management policies and strategies are in alignment with overall business objectives.Leadership and Team Management:Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.Coordinate with other departments to support their financial needs and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.Communicate financial results and strategies to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.Compliance and Governance:Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and IFRS.Oversee tax planning and compliance, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.Ensure the company’s financial practices adhere to corporate governance standards and best practices. Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.A minimum of 15 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven experience in financial management, strategic planning, and risk management within the construction or utilities sector.Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and financial instruments.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.Proficiency in financial software and tools.> 11 Years What You'll Get
