UCLA Health Sciences is seeking a visionary Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead its people strategies and serve as a catalyst for organizational excellence. Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences and maintaining dotted-line relationships with the President of UCLA Health and the Dean of the David Geffen School of Medicine, the CHRO will develop and implement forward-thinking human resources strategies to drive the mission of UCLA Health: delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical education, and fostering cutting-edge research.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute an HR strategy aligned with UCLA Health’s vision and priorities. Advise executive leadership on human capital, organizational development, and culture transformation. Oversee all HR functions, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation, employee and labor relations, and learning and development. Modernize HR practices to enhance efficiency, innovation, and alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with Campus HR, UC Office of the President, and UC HR Leadership Collaborative on systemwide initiatives. Manage the Clinical Enterprise Management Recognition Program (CEMRP1) to ensure compliance with UC standards. Lead diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) efforts to foster a supportive and engaging workplace. Drive employee engagement and retention strategies to position UCLA Health as an employer of choice. Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth implementation of new programs. Establish effective communication frameworks to engage diverse stakeholders. Mentor and develop a high-performing HR leadership team.
