About the Chief Information Officer role:

We are seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join Material+, an insights, marketing and technology company.   The CIO will lead our global IT organization, ensuring our technology initiatives align with business growth goals. 

We are looking for an experienced IT executive who can build and mentor a high-performing global team, create strategic technology partnerships, and drive continuous improvement in all IT functions. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of implementing innovative IT solutions that enhance enterprise capabilities and support global initiatives. 

Your ability to be a key strategic partner to the executive team and creating a culture of innovation will be crucial in future-proofing our organization's technological landscape. 

 

The CIO will be responsible for: 

Leading Enterprise Applications and IT Infrastructure and Operations functions in IT Global leadership: Lead, mentor, and set direction for a team of IT professionals spanning multiple locations across the globe. Lead and drive effective execution of initiatives with stakeholders across the globe. Developing and executing an IT roadmap - effectively balancing strategic company initiatives with continual improvement.  Understanding the business impact of IT decisions and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.  Driving business transformation initiatives to enhance business processes and to drive operational effectiveness and efficiencies and create competitive advantages. Ensuring strong alignment with business stakeholders on IT strategies and roadmaps, acting as a collaborative technology thought partner Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer service within the IT department. Develop and report on metrics/KPIs which reflect the performance of the technologies, programs, and team. Develop strategies for effective systems integration, data management, governance, and utilization. 

 

Qualifications: 

20+ years of experience in IT, with at least 10 years in IT leadership roles at Global companies, preferably in the services industry. Experience managing a global IT team, as well as working with business stakeholders and leadership in the US, and across the globe. Experience in integrating acquired companies – systems, data and people. Proven track record of successfully implementing large-scale Business transformation initiatives. Experience implementing or managing Workday and SalesForce platforms is highly desirable. Demonstrated track record of forming, leading, and managing high-performing global technology teams, fostering a positive work environment that enhances productivity and encourages innovation. Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to make complex subjects understandable for non-technical audiences and communicate with internal stakeholders to quickly establish trust and influence strategic decision-making across the firm. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Pay Range: $210,000.00 - $300,000.00

The rate shown represents a relevant range currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
